Abstract

The book represents the results of the authors’ academic research and years-long lecturing of the Persian literature course at the Institute of Asian and African studies of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. This work attempts at summarizing substantial materials collected over the past decades in the area of Iranian studies and other areas of Oriental literature studies. The books describes the history of establishment and development of the Iranian literature in 9th-18th centuries.

The book is intended for university students, as well as a wide range of readers interested in classical Persian literature.
