The AST publishing house with the support of the Sadra publishing house and the Islamic Culture Research Foundation has published a new translation of the Qur'an —  “The Qur’an. Interpretation of the meanings”.

The translation is based on the exegesis of the Holy Book of Muslims called “The light of the Holy Qur’an: explanations and comments” prepared by a group of Iranian scholars under the supervision of Seyed Kamal Fakih Imani, the founder and director of the Islamic Centre of Scientific Research. This exegesis was translated into Russian and was issued as a 12-volume edition with the support of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation.

The new translation of the meanings of the Qur'an was approved by a member of the academic community, I.R. Nasyrov, leading researcher of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a famous expert in Arabic studies, Doctor of Philosophy. In his opinion, this translation will “help many people understand the Holy Scripture of Muslims”.

The book has been issued in a classical style with a gold-plated decorative pattern and a ribbon for bookmarks. The edition comprises the original text of the Qur’an accompanied by the Russian translation.
