Abstract

This issue includes 78 articles of 26 authors from Russia (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar region, Ufa, Kazan, Mahachkala, Astrakhan), Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Bukhara, Kokand), Azerbaijan (Baku), Germany (Bochum), Netherlands (Amsterdam), US (Maryland), Latvia (Riga), France (Paris). This issue reveals the diversity of Islam in different regions of Russia (Central European region, Northern Caucasus, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Astrakhan region), Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan), Azerbaijan. The articles cover various topics: personalities, places of worship, architectural sites, terminology, ancient manuscripts, rites etc.

The edition features numerous illustrations (charts, tables, black-and-white and coloured photos from archives) and a reference body typical for this issue (including 8 reference indices), allowing to fully use diverse materials from the articles.
